About Us

The Rochester Memorial School Parent Teacher Organization is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization comprised of parents, teachers and community members who help raise and distribute funds to the students and teachers of Rochester Memorial School for a variety of extracurricular and enrichment activities that supplement their everyday learning. Membership in this organization is open to all parents, teachers and family members and is led by a dedicated group of volunteers.

The RMS PTO Executive Board is made up of 7 elected positions. This ensures that the work of running a non-profit organization doesn't fall on the shoulders of one or two. Our Executive Board members oversee our volunteers (you!), research new programs that benefit students, teachers, and the school, work with RMS and our greater community to keep you up to date with the latest news, find fun and creative ways to raise money for programs (without always asking our families for money), and run those programs! 

The RMS PTO is governed by our bylaws and any state and/or federal laws concerning non-profit organizations. We have been working hard to get the business side of PTO streamlined so we can spend more time providing for RMS!

Teacher Administrator

Mr. Cote teaches 6th grade at RMS. The teacher administrator keeps communication between the RMS staff and the RMS PTO  flowing!

Parent Administrator

Kirstin is mom to a 2nd grader at RMS. The parent administrator keeps communication between the RMS families and the RMS PTO flowing!

Finance Committee

Mrs. Cruz is one of our amazing School Social Workers at RMS. Her job as head of the Finance Committee is to keep the PTO on budget!

Communication Committee

Mrs. Nelson teaches 1st grade at RMS. The Communication Committee makes sure the RMS community has all the information they need!

Events Committee

Heather is mom to a 2nd and 5th grader at RMS. The event committee designs and runs all the fun events the PTO sponsors at RMS!

Fundraising Committee

Mrs. Forns teaches 6th grade at RMS. The fundraising committee researches and runs the fundraisers that provide the funds for RMS programs!

Outreach Committee

Sarah is mom to a 2nd grader at RMS. The Outreach Committee works with local organizations to enrich and expand programs for RMS families!
